Stirling and Clacks Liberal Democrat - Annual Plant Sale
On Saturday the 09 May 2015 Stirling and Clacks Scottish Liberal Democrats held an other successful Plant Sale at the Braeport Centre, in Dunblane. As with last year there was a good crowd of folk buying plants and the trailing lobelia sold out particularly quickly this year.
Members also brought in surplus plants from their own gardens including old fashioned daffodils that now are past their prime will no doubt put on a good show next year and following years. Iliyan Stefanov the candidate for Ochil and South Perthshire visited the sale and with his wife bought plants to stock up their garden and thanked people for working on the general election campaign.
Although a bit down beat about the general election results when chatting among ourselves and the public we discussed the need for electoral reform, and the need to prepare for the Scottish Parliament Elections in 2016 and the Council elections in 2017. Like the daffodils we will no doubt spring out year after year making sure that Liberal democratic values of a fair and open society continues to grow and bloom in Scotland.
We plan to continue to hold the plant sale each year so we hope to see you all again in 2016.
